Manager's Message

The role of higher education in a marginalized district like Wayanad is deemed fundamental in the making of socially responsible citizens. Established by the Catholic Diocese of Mananthavady, Mary Matha Arts & Science College, with its holistic vision of education, aiming at the total liberation of the students as well as the community they belong to, has proven its potentials in the past and is striving towards excellence in all its ventures. Situated in a geographically backward area of North Wayanad, the college is the only avenue of higher education for the people who are also educationally marginalized.
Apart from the excellent academic record, this college has been in the forefront in organizing activities pertaining to social reconstruction, cultural enhancement and spiritual enlightenment of its stakeholders. The college, nestled on a beautiful hilltop amidst the vast greenery of the Western Ghats, with an ambience very close to the rural and indigenous cultures, offers a great spectacle and also a didactic experience for the visitors. The efforts of the well-qualified and industrious academic and administrative faculty and the incessant support of the management have always been the major reasons behind the glory of the college in all fields.
